about

My attempt to compose a song for my friend's wedding.

Originally this was a little love song I wrote with different lyrics.

Recorded with my loop pedal in Berlin.

lyrics

Stay awhile with me
We'll sleep beneath the trees
The sun will catch your breath

Darling, keep your words
They are not enough
Our hearts say all we need
to say

Take off all your cares
I've your hand
and you have mine

Though we may grow old
Our love stays young
and walks beside us, arm in arm

Take off all your cares
I've your hand
and you have mine

I've your hand
you always had mine

eirwen skye Sydney, Australia

Eirwen Skye is a solo singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist using loops of ukulele, vocals and various ‘toy’ instruments to create a layered sound. The highly emotive lyrics are an essay in the meaning of ‘unrequited’, delivered with a voice that is far bigger than her small frame would suggest.

"Her voice was absolutely gorgeous...haunting and powerful performance." (Drum Media)
